Easy Beauty Rituals You Can Do While Working From Home

I looooove skincare and beauty, I do, but I am also lazy. And I always have an excuse for my laziness - "I work full-time". And even though my hours have stayed the same, working from home surely gives all of us more flexibility. So, why waste time, if you can benefit from it? Imagine what kind of beauty goddess you can get out of this? We got some work to do!
Hair masks
On a regular day, how much time do you have for a hair mask? 5 minutes? Maybe 10? Well, what if I tell you that you can leave the deep-conditioning mask for 35-40 minutes?
How to:
For the best results wash your hair with warm water (and shampoo, obviously) to open the hair cuticles, then dry your hair with a towel and generously apply your favorite mask. If you have a shower cap, you can create a thermal effect by wearing it and putting a towel on top. Leave it up to an hour, and you have deeply nourished hair.
Dry brushing
There are a lot of urban legends around the subject of dry brushing and its benefits, however, there is no scientific data to back it up. Meanwhile, there is one benefit that nobody can argue about, and it is exfoliation. Plus, you are getting massage benefits which are not only relaxing but also improving your blood circulation.
How to:
Choose a natural hair brush if you can, and start massaging in a circular motion from down moving upwards towards your heart. The amount of pressure should be mild, there should be any irritation besides natural redness. The whole procedure shouldn't take you more than 10-15 minutes. After you are done, take a refreshing shower to wash off dead skin cells, and moisturize. I think it is a great way to wake up in the morning.
Hands treatment

Considering how often we wash our hands right now, my hands need TLC the most. You might think it is no big deal, but for the people with sensitive skin just applying a regular hand lotion just doesn't work.
How to:
Apply your favorite lotion (ideally, something deeply nourishing), then wear latex gloves which will create (yes, you've guessed it) a thermal effect. Leave it for as long as you want while typing those emails.
Brightening treatment
For all of you who are new here (in the world of skincare), vitamin C can be applied topically and is very beneficial for skin brightening (looking right at ya, acne scars and brown spots). However, it is not recommended in spring-summer due to sun exposure. Since we are not really seeing the sun, or at least not exposed directly, wearing Vit C at home is safe. And, it makes your skin glowy!
How to:
Look into good quality Vitamin C creams and serums. I am currently using Neogen Real Vita C Serum, before I was using The Ordinary Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate 10%. Please study the product before purchasing it.
Face mask
When it comes to face masks, there are such a huge variety of them: clay, algae, peeling, even sheet masks. What to choose?
How to:
Choose according to your skin need. Sometimes when I don't feel like putting chemicals on my face, I would just apply yogurt, and let that lactic acid do its magic.
Some of my mask favorites:
This flower wonder is pricey ($62 for 3.3oz 100 ml), but it delivers on moisture and calming the skin.
Just for $8, you are getting a pack of 10 sheet masks packed with snail secretion extract which improves skin elasticity and provides nourishment.
When you need to clear your pores, this guy will provide the detox you need. Charcoal clears the dirt, meanwhile, black sugar provides the polishing exfoliation.
Fermented forest yeast strengthens your skin while you sleep, meanwhile providing a good amount of moisture. As a result, you wake up with healthier skin.
Hope, you have found these easy beauty rituals helpful. Let me know what are your ways of keeping yourself pampered while working from home.
Be well and have a magical day!
